Biography
Currently based in Flesburg, Germany, Israeli conductor Avishay Shalom is a first prize winner at the second edition of the Arthur Nikisch International Conducting Compeition 2022 in Bulgaria.
Shalom completed his Master’s degree at CCM in 2016 after a Bachelor’s degree at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. Between the years 2015-2017 Shalom was the conductor of the Graduate studio opera at the College Conservatory of Music, where he conducted Monteverdi’s "L’incoronazione di Poppea", Rossini’s "Il Signor Bruschino", and Conrad Susa’s "Transformations".
Between the years 2017-2018 Shalom was part of the exchange program at the Munich School of Music, where he conducted orchestras such as the the Munich Symphony Orchestra, the Hofkapelle Munich, and the Georgian Chamber Orchestra Ingolstadt. Between 2019-2021 Shalom was the musical director of Chamber Choir Consortium Musicum Berlin and in July 2019 Shalom served as the Kapellmeister of the Berlin Opera Academy production of Mozart’s “The Marriage of Figaro”. Between 2019-2021 Shalom was a repetiteur and conductor of the Opernstudio Niederrhein, where he conducted Donizetti's "Don Pasquale", Wagner's first act of "Die Walküre" and "Welttheater Mozart". Currently Shalom is the Chorus Master and a Kapellmeister at the Schleswig-Holsteines Landestheater.
Shalom was supported by the REC Music Foundation, a semi-finalist in “Luigi Mancinelli Conducting Competition” in Orvieto, Italy, and a recipient of the America-Israel Cultural Foundation for orchestral conductors between the years 2014-2016.

Biografie
Der israelische Dirigent Avishay Shalom ist der 1. Preisträger am zweiten internationalen Dirigierwettbewerb „Arthur Nikisch“ in Bulgariens Hauptstadt Sofia.
Nach seinem Bachelor-Studium an der Jerusalem Akademie für Musik und Tanz setzte er sein Studium am College-Conservatory of Music an der Universität Cincinnati fort und absolvierte dort seinen Master in Orchesterdirigieren. Er war DMA Student (Doctor of Musical Arts) am College-Conservatory of Music.
Von 2017 bis 2018 war Shalom Erasmusstudent an der Hochschule für Musik und Theater in München. Dort leitete er Konzerte und Proben mit dem Georgischen Kammerorchester Ingolstadt, mit der Vogtland Philharmonie Greiz/Reichenbach und der Hofkapelle München. Von 2015 bis 2017 war er musikalischer Leiter der Graduate studio opera im College-Conservatory of Music. Dort dirigierte er Monteverdis „L’incoronazione di Poppea“, Rossinis „Il Signor Bruschino“, und Conrad Susas „Transformations“. Von 2012 bis 2014 war Shalom Dirigierassistent beim New Israeli Vocal Ensemble und beim Jerusalem Academy Chamber Choir und leitete dort die Einstudierung und Konzerte.
Seit dem ist Shalom nach Deutschland kam, war er künstlerischer Leiter des Kammerchors Consortium musicum Berlin. 2019 wirkte er als Kapellmeister in „Le nozze di Figaro“ bei der Berlin Opera Academy mit. Zwischen 2020-2022 war Shalom als Repetitor und musikalischer Leiter von Produktionen Mitglied im Opernstudio Niederrhein sowie im Jungen Theater Krefeld und Mönchengladbach tätig. Dort dirigiert er Donizetti's "Don Pasquale" , 1. Akt aus Wagner's "Die Walküre" und "Welttheater Mozart".
Heute ist Shalom der Chordirektor und Kapellmeister an dem Schleswig-Holsteinischen Landestheater.
Er war Semifinalist beim internationalen Wettbewerb für Operndirigenten “Luigi Mancinelli” in Orvieto, Italien, er ist Stipendiat der REC Music Foundation und wurde von 2014 bis 2016 von der Amerika-Israel Kulturstiftung für Orchesterdirigenten unterstützt.
